According to the producers, this movie is intended to reveal the truth for the first time, although it includes significant elements of fiction and the extent to which it represents historical fact is difficult to determine.

The Red Baron (German: Der Rote Baron) is a feature film about fighter pilot Manfred von Richthofen.

Plot

In 1906, a young Baron Manfred von Richthofen (Matthias Schweighöfer) is out hunting deer when he encounters an aeroplane overhead. Enchanted, he follows it on horseback, waving his arms like a bird.

Ten years later, Lieutenant Richthofen is serving as a fighter pilot with the Imperial German Air Service along the Western Front. After dropping a wreath over the funeral of an Allied pilot, Richthofen and his fellow pilots Werner Voss (Til Schweiger)and Friedrich Sternberg encounter an squadron of enemy planes led by Captain Lanoe Hawker. Richthofen shoots down Canadian pilot Arthur Roy Brown (Joseph Fiennes). After pulling Brown out of the wreckage of his plane, Richthofen assists Nurse Käte Otersdorf (Lena Headey) with applying a tourniquet to the Canadian's wounded leg.

Later, after successfully shooting down and killing "the notorious Captain Hawker," Richthofen awarded the Pour le Merite and promoted to command his own private aerial squadron. There, he is soon joined by his brother Lothar von Richthofen. He orders his men to avoid killing enemy pilots unless absolutely necessary and is enraged when Lothar deliberately strafes and kills a British pilot who has already been forced into a landing.

Later, during an aerial dogfight, Richthofen again encounters Captain Brown, who has escaped from a German POW camp after being nursed by Käte. Both are forced to ditch their planes in no man's land and share a friendly drink. Brown expresses hope that they will not meet again until after the war is over and tells Richthofen that Käte has feelings for him. When Richthofen asks how he can be so sure, Brown retorts, "She bitched about you for weeks."

On the way back to base, Richthofen is devastated to learn that his close friend, the Jewish pilot Friedrich Sternberg, has been shot down and killed. Over the days that follow, Richthofen makes no secret of his grief and refuses to leave his room. An enraged Lothar reminds him that, "A leader cannot afford to mourn."

Shortly thereafter, Richthofen is wounded in the skull and is sent to be nursed by Käte. As he recovers, the two share a romantic dinner and a dance. After Richthofen expresses gratitude for his wound, an enraged Käte gives him a tour of a local field hospital and berates him for regarding war as a game.

Later, Richthofen and Käte are beginning to make love when they are interrupted by an Allied bombing raid. Determined to protect the squadron's aeroplanes, he orders Käte to hide in the cellar and takes to the air with his men.

During a later visit from Käte, Richthofen informs her that he has been offered a rear echelon position in command of the entire Air Service. Käte, who has been long been frantic at the thought of losing him, is overjoyed. Richthofen, however, conceals his doubts from her.

Richthofen has realized that he is being manipulated for propaganda by the Kaiser and his Generals. On the eve of the offensives of February 1918, he approaches General Paul von Hindenburg (Josef Vinklar) and tells him that the war has become an no-win situation which should be ended as soon as possible. Hindenburg is outraged and orders him back to his squadron.

As the offensive begins, Richthofen's squadron sets out to clear every Allied aeroplane and balloon out of the target area. As Käte tends the wounded on the ground, she is horrified to learn that her beloved has returned to combat.

Käte confronts him and demands to know why he has turned down the chance to remain safe. Richthofen states that he will not betray the soldiers in the field, "by remaining the immortal god that Berlin wants me to be." He climaxes by informing her, "You are my greatest victory."

On the morning of April 21, 1918, Richthofen leads his squadron into battle after making love to Käte. Soon after, he is killed in action by Captain Brown.

In the aftermath, Käte crosses over to Allied lines with Brown's assistance and visits Richthofen's grave. She apologises for not coming sooner and expresses regret for never telling him how much she loved him. The camera pans to a funeral wreath left by Brown, "To Manfred von Richtofen, Friend and Enemy."

The Haunting in Connecticut is a 2009 psychological supernatural horror film based on the allegedly true story of a paranormal event in Connecticut.

Plot

Set in 1987, the story centers on Matthew William Campbell, who is being treated for cancer on a trial therapy in a remote hospital. After seeing the effect the long commute has on Matt, his mother rents a nearby house, which she learns was previously a funeral home. They discover a mortuary room in the basement that they are unable to enter initially, which severely burns Matt when he attempts to enter. The family begins experiencing violent, supernatural events that the parents first blame on stress and hallucinations from Matt's medications and treatment. Matt also experiences several disturbing visions from the point of view of a young man named Jonah, including an intense séance, and witnessing a doctor inscribe runes onto the skin of a corpse. After a game of hide and seek, during which Matt's younger brother encounters a badly burned ghost in a dumbwaiter, and his younger sister's leg falls through the floor of the attic. Matt then discovers a box under the attic floor boards containing a number of photographs from the séance, and pictures of the boy, Jonah that he believed he had been hallucinating and pictures of other people that had appeared in his "hallucinations", as well as a box of human eyelids.

They investigate the house's past, and discover that during the 1920s, the previous owner, Doctor Aickman, conducted séances in the house, using his assistant Jonah as a medium, who convinced many skeptics of his abilities. Doctor Aickman and his guests all died during one of the séances when the ectoplasm that seeped out of Jonah's mouth exploded into fire and incinerated everyone present, and Jonah eventually was incinerated too when he tried to escape the mercy of the spirits and went missing. Matt then contacts Nicholas, a minister he meets at the hospital and who is also dying of cancer, to ask for his help. Nicholas hypothesizes that Aickman was performing necromancy on the bodies that he was meant to inter to enhance Jonah's abilities as a medium. He had stolen the corpses sent to his funeral home and buried coffins filled with sandbags instead. Nicholas, after initially being driven out by the mother, is called back after the entire family encounters ghosts in a single night, including an electrical storm that takes place throughout the house. After searching the house, Nicholas discovers ashes and a portion of a skull in the mortuary oven. While removing it, the doors and windows begin to slam violently, which abruptly ceases after Nicholas is outside. He then leaves with the human remains, assuring the family that the threat is over. The same night, the family wakes to find strange markings carved into Matt's body, and he is rushed to the hospital.

Nicholas runs off the road after seeing the burned ghost in his rear view mirror. Both he and Matt have a similar vision, revealing that the burned ghost is Jonah, who was killed after the séance by the spirits, who used his abilities as a medium to burn the other guests alive. Nicholas realizes that he has made a terrible mistake by removing Jonah, who was actually trying to help free the ghosts of the corpses stolen by Aickman. By removing Jonah from the house, the family would now be at the mercy of the rest of the enraged ghosts. Matt, after encountering Jonah and learning that he has only a few days left to live, breaks out of the hospital and rushes home. After breaking into the house with a fire axe, he rushes his siblings outside, and barricades himself in the house. He then smashes the interior walls of the living room, revealing dozens of embalmed corpses and then sets the house ablaze, intending to finish the task that Jonah had failed to accomplish. Just as he is surrounded by a swarm of ghosts, his mother comes in to save him, and firemen pull them both out of the burning house, and Matt is revived. Jonah is shown one last time, unharmed, before vanishing. After credits indicate that Matt's cancers went into total remission, and that the Aickman house was rebuilt and resold, with no further incidents reported.

Plot

Set in New York City, a veteran thief recruits a younger crook to help him pull off one final job in order to repay his debt to the Russian mob. It turns out that the younger crook was actually a Miami cop on loan to the NYPD, and was looking to bring the veteran thief to justice by being an undercover thief. The cop gets involved in a relationship with the veteran thief's goddaughter when he starts to work with him. When they get around to pulling the final job, a Russian mobster kidnaps the goddaughter and demands two Fabergé eggs to be stolen in return. When the duo get into the vaults of the museum with the eggs, the cop takes the eggs and runs to the Russian mobster to get his lover back. In the end though, the mobster was a good friend of the veteran thief and they set up the cop (it turned out they knew he was a cop) to take the eggs from one and give it to the other. The movie ends when the mobster and veteran thief look for a buyer and the cop decides to move to the thief life as his police career is over. The cop also gets back together with his lover, who turns out to be the Russian mobster's daughter.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a 2009 American science fiction action film which was released on June 19, 2009 in the United Kingdom and June 24, 2009 in North America.It is the sequel to 2007's Transformers and the second film in the live action Transformers series. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons. The film introduces many more robots and the scope has been expanded to numerous countries, most notably France and Egypt. The plot revolves around Sam, who has been seeing visions of Cybertronian symbols and therefore gets hunted by evil Decepticons to awake their long-hidden leader, The Fallen.

A major hurdle that was overcome during the film's production was the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, as well as possible strikes by the Directors Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild. Bay finished the production on time with the help of previsualization and a scriptment by his writers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and series newcomer Ehren Kruger. Shooting took place from May to November 2008.

Revenge of the Fallen achieved the highest Wednesday opening gross in history, bringing in $62 million in North America alone and close to $100 million worldwide; this is also the second-highest opening day gross of all time, behind only The Dark Knight's $67.8 million. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is currently the highest grossing film of 2009, beating out Angels & Demons which previously held the title.

Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime, who forms an alliance with international armies for a second epic battle.

Sci-FiResident Evil: Degeneration, known in Japan as Biohazard: Degeneration (バイオハザード：ディジェネレーション, Baiohazādo: Dijenerēshon?), is the first full-length Japanese CG animation feature based upon Capcom's Resident Evil video game series. It was announced by Capcom and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan on October 29, 2007.

Unlike the previous Resident Evil film trilogy, Degeneration is set within the same universe as the original video games. The main characters are Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, who appear together for the first time since Resident Evil 2. The film made its premiere in Japan on October 11, 2008 at the Tokyo Game Show, and was released nationwide one week later on October 18. The DVD and Blu-ray were released on December 26, 2008 in Japan and December 27, 2008 in North America. It was released in the United Kingdom on January 12, 2009.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a 2009 fantasy-adventure film based on the novel of the same name by J. K. Rowling. It is the sixth film in the Harry Potter film series. It is directed by David Yates, the director of the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. David Heyman and David Barron produced the film,and Steve Kloves, screenwriter of the first four films, returned as screenwriter for this film. Filming began on 24 September 2007, and the film was released in cinemas worldwide on 15 July 2009, one day short of the fourth anniversary of the corresponding novel's release. Unlike the previous film, the sixth film was not simultaneously released in regular cinemas and IMAX 3-D in all countries, due to a Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen several week commitment. The film will instead be released in IMAX 3D on 29 July, two weeks after its original release, in these countries.

The film opened to critical acclaim and commercial success, and broke the records for biggest midnight opening gross of all time as well as biggest single-day worldwide gross of all time. In five days the film went on to break the record for biggest five-day worldwide gross in history. The film is dedicated to the memory of actor Rob Knox, who portrays Marcus Belby in the film and was killed in May 2008.
